Welcome To EXEMPLAR MAUS

WE CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE A BREEDING PROGRAMME, THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. LS

Exemplar was started by a twist of fate when a sabbatical to the United States ended with our first queen in tow. Memphis was lovingly chosen out of all the known cat breeds and was acquired as a kitten, only 12 weeks in age.

She came home with us to reside in the equatorial island of Singapore, and here's where the saga of our story begins. Asia has not only been deprived of quality examples of Egyptian Maus, there also has never been a Mau in these parts to speak of.

Hence our effort into creating a renowned breed preservation program was born. Now the first ever Singapore-born kittens have arrived. With our vision to make top quality Egyptian Maus available to fanciers, we strive to preserve and consistently improve upon these majestic domesticated felines descended from the time of the Pharaohs. We're registered with Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. (CFA) and are members of the Association Internationale du Mau Egyptien (AIME) and Global Egyptian Mau Society (GEMS), all with the intention of protecting the breed and ensuring ethical practices in the the furtherance of the Egyptian Mau population.

There are 5 mau colors with only the Silver, Bronze & Smoke being accepted into shows. Blacks and Classic (marbles) are very beautiful & rare and can be registered even if they can't show. Though we focus on the silver, the genotype might in fact produce other colors as well.
